Finding the right youth soccer program in Hamilton comes down to one question: does it actually develop your child, or just fill an hour? Vanguard FC is built around a written development curriculum, small training groups, and certified coaches — so every session has a purpose. Whether your child is brand new to the ball or ready to train seriously, there is a clear place for them here.
Two pathways, one club
Soccer School
Player development for all levels in a supportive environment — strong fundamentals, real coaching and steady improvement. New players are welcome, and every session is about getting better.
Academy
A more intense, competitive-track environment for players ready to be pushed further — the same development focus, at a higher level. Entry is by a simple, free assessment.

Where we train
Vanguard FC runs sessions at trusted indoor and outdoor facilities around the region, including Redeemer Sports Complex, Ancaster Sports Centre, the Hamilton Italian Centre (SDI Hamilton), Sherwood Secondary School, Nora Frances Henderson Secondary School and Ray Lewis Elementary School. Indoor space keeps sessions going through the Hamilton winter.
Programs by age (4–16)

- Ages 4–6
- Ages 7–9
- Ages 10–12
- Ages 13–16
Frequently asked questions
What ages do you coach?
Vanguard FC coaches players from age 4 through 16, split into age-appropriate groups (4–6, 7–9, 10–12 and 13–16) across our Soccer School and Academy pathways.
My child has never played — is that okay?
Absolutely. New players are welcome in our Soccer School, where coaches develop fundamentals and confidence from the ground up. No experience is needed to start.
How do we get started?
Book a free trial session. Your child trains with us, you meet the coaches, and there is no obligation to continue.
How much does it cost?
Pricing is the same for the Soccer School and the Academy and does not vary by age — it depends only on how many days a week your child trains: 2 days a week is $125 + tax per month, and 3 days a week is $195 + tax per month.
How big are the training groups?
We keep groups small and set player-to-coach ratios based on Ontario Soccer recommendations, so each child gets real attention and plenty of touches on the ball.
Do you train in the winter?
Yes. We use indoor facilities around Hamilton so sessions continue through the winter.
