The Vanguard FC Academy is for players age 6 and up who are ready for a more intense, competitive training environment. It carries the same development focus as our Soccer School, pushed further — a written, age-specific curriculum that builds technique, game understanding and decision-making session by session. Groups are kept small, progress is tracked per player, and entry is by a free assessment so every group is matched by level.
What makes it an academy — not just a class

How the free assessment works
Rather than dropping every child into the same session, we run a short, free assessment. A coach watches your child in a normal training environment, then recommends the right group and pathway. There is no cost and no obligation — it simply makes sure your child is challenged at the right level.
A clear development pathway
Players develop across both pathways. Many move from the Soccer School up into the Academy as they are ready — and Academy players can move back to the School if that suits them better at the time. It is one club with two intensities, and coaches place each player where they will develop best, across the age groups (4–6, 7–9, 10–12, 13–16).

No. The academy is for committed players across a range of levels. The free assessment places each child in a group matched to their current stage, so they are challenged appropriately.

It is a simple, player-specific outline of strengths and next focus areas, informed by coach evaluations, so you can see how your child is progressing.
How much does the academy cost?
